And there is more!
Double J Farm that hosted that family Easter Celebration was owned by Gene’s Uncle Alvin and Aunt Dorothy Jupe. On May 1, 2007, Gene and Vicki purchased the 138-acre property in Guadalupe County to continue to expand their ever-growing operation.
On a trip to deliver a bull, Vicki saw a small, covered pavilion with an outdoor kitchen nestled in the corner and a fireplace. Thinking that this would be an amazing idea for enjoying the Double J Farm that has big trees and 4 ponds, she again talked Gene into pursuing the idea of adding a small family gathering place. The involvement of an architect turned the small gathering idea into a massive event center that is known as Cool Breeze Pavilion. Their daughter, Lindsey Minarcik operates and manages Cool Breeze and, in the works and planned to be completed by 2026, is Cool Breeze Living which will add a Bed and Breakfast that can be 3 separate motel type rooms or opened to be one large home for a big group or host wedding parties.
